In connection with the expiration of the company's long-term commercial agreement regarding Airbus production, a market review has been conducted to ensure that the fleet strategy is in line with future market needs and creates long-term profitable growth. To better meet customer demand, the Board of Directors has decided on a direction that focuses on a growing single-type fleet of the ATR72-600 turboprop aircraft and a gradual phase-out of Airbus. The decision will make Braathens a pure ACMI provider in the turboprop segment on the European aviation market.

Qarlbo Energy, owned by Qarlbo AB and FAM, has become a new investor in Braathens Renavia, a Swedish project development company focused on the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Qarlbo Energy is a leading hydrogen player in Sweden, investing in and partnering with forward-thinking companies aiming to transform the energy sector.

Renavia, in partnership with Mana Group and World Fuel Services, has signed a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding to supply easyJet with up to 150,000 tons of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) annually from 2030, including up to 75,000 tons of e-SAF. 

Under evenemanget Spain Talks i Stockholm nyligen, arrangerat av Spaniens Turistkontor uppmärksammades Escape Travel med pris. Som ledande vandringsarrangör producerar Escape Travel hållbar turism genom aktiva resor där kroppen sköter det mesta av transporten och det småskaliga lokala företagandet gynnas av utbytet på resmålet.

BRA har ingått ett avtal som innebär att bolaget efter årsskiftet kommer att flyga på uppdrag av SAS, primärt med Arlanda som bas. Uppdraget är värt omkring sex miljarder och sträcker sig över sju år. Satsningen innebär att flygplansflottan kommer att utökas och fler piloter samt mer kabinpersonal kommer att rekryteras. BRA fortsätter att flyga alla linjer som vanligt med Bromma som huvudflygplats fram till och med december 2024.
