Braathens

Our aviation legacy dates back to 1946, when the Braathens family founded their first airline. With a long history as a regional airline and a strong commitment to sustainability, we are now exclusively operating for other airlines

About the company

Braathens has entered into an agreement with SAS which means that from January 2025 they will fly on behalf of SAS, primarily with Arlanda as its base. The agreement with SAS means that Braathens can both take responsibility for the aviation infrastructure in Sweden and secure jobs within the company despite a challenging domestic aviation market

The fleet serving the domestic market consist mainly of fourteen ATR72-600 turboprop aircraft with 72 seats. The ATR 72-600 is the most environmentally friendly aircraft available for this kind of operation with considerably lower emissions than competing jet planes.
