Owner of Braganza and Chairman since 1992. Braathen is Chairman of Braathens Regional Airlines AB and Escape Travel AS, and Board member of Wayday Travel and Parque Reunidos S.A. Braathen is also Chairman for Scandic Hotels Group AB and for Bramora Ltd, and he is an Industrial Advisor for EQT.

Extensive experience in the aviation and tourism industries as a former CEO/Chairman of several tour operators including Escape, Saga Solreiser in Norway, Always in Sweden and Tjæreborg in Denmark, Norway and Finland. Braathens has also held board positions in SunHotels, Ticket Travel Group, Arken ZOO, Kristiansand Dyrepark, 2Entertain and BRAbank ASA. Braathen holds an MBA from Schiller University, London.
